Shipments outside Illinois are not charged sales taxes.
Food and medicinal products shipped within Illinois are taxed at 2.25%.
All other general merchandise (non-food, non-medicinal), for example, most health & beauty products, incenses, puja items, etc. shipped within Illinois are subject to a 8.25% sales tax.
Fresh foods (biryanis) and snacks (samosas) are taxed at 10.25%.
